Douglas Oland, a 21-year-old man from Bayville, New Jersey, disappeared on January 18, 1999, while working on a clamming boat named *Adriatic* off the New Jersey coast. Oland, who was home during a break from Keene State College, had taken up the part-time job to earn extra money.
