Diana Moreno-Acevedo, a 35-year-old Colombian woman, was last seen on February 20, 2003, at her apartment on East Main Street in Freehold, New Jersey. She had moved to the United States three years earlier to work as a cleaning woman and was known for her responsible nature, calling her mother in Colombia daily. Diana was reported missing the day after her disappearance, on February 21, 2003.
