In the spring of 2006, a 41-year-old woman named Cynthia Susan DeVries vanished from Lynnwood, Washington, leaving behind a life and a community that continues to seek answers. On May 30, 2006, Cynthia was last seen at a friend's house in Lynnwood. She left her dog and some of her personal belongings with her friend, stating that she had an appointment to get to. From that point on, Cynthia's movements and whereabouts become uncertain. It is believed that she may have been intending to travel to the Marblemount area to visit a relative who was ill, but it has not been confirmed if she ever arrived. After leaving her friend’s home, she was not seen or heard from again. Cynthia, who sometimes used the aliases "Crystall" or "Christine," was a woman with distinctive features. She had blond or strawberry-blond hair and blue eyes. Her physical appearance was also marked by several tattoos, including ones on her left calf, right shoulder, and upper right arm. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being 5'2" tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds. Those who knew her and the authorities investigating her case were left with very few clues to piece together the puzzle of her sudden disappearance. The investigation into Cynthia DeVries's disappearance has remained open over the years, yet the circumstances surrounding her vanishing are still shrouded in mystery. Despite the passage of time, her case has not been forgotten by her family, friends, and law enforcement, who all continue to hope for a resolution. The lack of any substantial leads or evidence has made this a challenging case for the Lynnwood Police Department. The overview of this case is one of a sudden and unexplained disappearance, a woman who seemed to vanish without a trace after a routine departure from a friend's home, leaving behind a lingering sense of loss and a series of unanswered questions for her loved ones and community.
