Mauricio Alfonso Ortiz, 47, was last seen on October 7, 2006, at the Get Happy Bar in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he worked as a bartender. He was not reported missing until November 8, 2006, when his landlord asked his family to clean out his apartment after Ortiz had failed to pay rent. Despite his reliable nature, he never picked up his last paycheck, and his disappearance remains unexplained.
