Helen Thompson, an 81-year-old woman from Pismo Beach, California, was last seen on August 3, 2008. She was walking westbound on Capistrano Street near the ocean in the Shell Beach neighborhood, a routine she followed daily. Thompson, who lived alone with her cat, suffered from dementia and was known to become easily confused. She was last seen wearing a tan trench coat, jeans, and a burgundy felt top hat.
