On May 24, 2016, a 28-year-old man named Brandon 'Bubba' Perecz was last seen in Sultan, Washington. On that day, Perecz was outside the Sultan Library texting a friend for a ride. Law enforcement officials, who had outstanding warrants for his arrest, last saw him when he entered the water where the Sultan and Skykomish rivers converge. He was observed swimming and moving downstream with the current. This was reportedly not the first time he had used the river to evade law enforcement ...
