On May 24, 2016, 28-year-old Brandon “Bubba” Perecz disappeared in Sultan, Washington, after fleeing from law enforcement. Deputies reported that Perecz, who had outstanding warrants, was last seen jumping into the Skykomish River near the confluence with the Sultan River to evade arrest. He was observed swimming downstream but has not been seen since.
