In early February 2017, the life of 38-year-old Billy R. Corbitt took an unforeseen turn when he vanished from Camden, New Jersey. He was last seen in the Lanning Square neighborhood, specifically in the 400 block of Trenton Avenue, on February 4, 2017. At the time of his disappearance, Corbitt was driving a 2005 Ford 500, which had a temporary license plate with the number M0007896.
