In the autumn of 2017, concern began to grow for a man named Kenneth Leroy Bouwell in West Monroe, Louisiana. Family members realized that they had not seen or heard from him in a couple of weeks, which was unusual even though he did not have a permanent home. The last confirmed sighting of Kenneth was on October 3, 2017. At the time he went missing, he was 46 years old. He was known to frequent the Bawcomville and the River Bend School areas in West Monroe, and would also visit the nearby city of Monroe. His family's concern prompted them to report him as a missing person to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office. Investigators with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office began looking for Kenneth. He was described as a white male, standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing between 165 and 175 pounds. He had graying brown or sandy-colored hair and green or hazel eyes. Kenneth had several distinct tattoos, including the words "Expect No Mercy" tattooed on his abdomen and another undescribed tattoo on his upper arm. He also had scars on his abdomen and on the back of his neck. At the time of his disappearance, no description of the clothing he was wearing was available, which made the search more challenging for law enforcement. The circumstances surrounding Kenneth's disappearance remain unclear, and very few details have been made public in his case. He was known to live a transient lifestyle, which may have contributed to the delay in him being reported missing. The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office has asked for the public's assistance, urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact them. Despite the passage of time, the case remains open, and the question of what happened to Kenneth Leroy Bouwell after he was last seen by his family continues to be unanswered.
