On the first of June in 1961, a 30-year-old Inupiat man named Tuck Esenituk was last seen in his home village of Brevig Mission, Alaska. Situated on the windswept coast of the Seward Peninsula, Brevig Mission was a small community deeply connected to the land and sea, where a subsistence lifestyle of hunting and fishing was not a choice, but a necessity for survival.
