Brien Thomas Vogt, a 30-year-old man, was last seen on April 8, 1984, in Tacoma, Washington. He had been dropped off near Interstate 5 by SeaTac Mall with the intention of hitchhiking to Portland, Oregon. There have been unconfirmed reports of him being sighted in Fairbanks, Alaska, after his disappearance, which is notable given that Vogt had ties to Alaska, where he had grown up.
