In the spring of 1984, a 30-year-old woman named Joyce Hefnerklein disappeared from Fairbanks, Alaska. A mother and wife, her absence was a profound loss to her family, marking the beginning of a mystery that would become entangled with a string of violent crimes. Joyce, who also used the names Joyce M. Hefner and Joyce Marie Klein, was last seen on April 28, 1984, a day that would forever be etched in the memory of her loved ones as the last time they would have contact with her.
