Michael Joseph Miranda, an 18-year-old from Porterville, California, was last seen on the morning of July 13, 1992, when he went hiking alone. He did not take any supplies with him, indicating he planned to be gone only for a few hours. However, he never returned, and his family did not report him missing until three days later.
Search efforts led to the discovery of Michael’s 1984 Mazda pickup truck abandoned near Highway 190, close to Angel Falls and east of Springville, California. Despite extensive searches in the surrounding area, no trace of Michael has been found, and his case remains unsolved. Authorities continue to classify his disappearance as an endangered missing person.
Michael was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, gray shorts, and tan or brown work boots. He had distinguishing features, including a small mole on his lower back. Though multiple leads have been followed, his disappearance remains a mystery.
