In the autumn of 1994, 39-year-old Vicki Bea Rowe-Simonsen vanished at sea while traveling in the Gulf of Alaska. On October 26, 1994, she was a crewmember aboard the 105-foot crab fishing vessel, the F/V Fierce Competitor. The ship had departed from Warrenton, Oregon, and was en route to King Cove, Alaska.
