Barbara Stewart, a 41-year-old woman from Houston, Texas, was last seen on April 26, 1999. On that day, a friend, Peggy Moore, arrived at the Houston Motor Inn to pick her up for work as planned. However, when she arrived, she encountered Barbara's ex-boyfriend outside the room they shared. He told Moore that Barbara had already left and cryptically mentioned that "she got what she deserved." Barbara did not show up for work that day and has not been seen since.
