In March of 2011, a 36-year-old man named Bereket Tekeste Demsas was last heard from in Anchorage, Alaska. At the time, he was known to be staying at the Brother Francis Shelter in the city. Although he was last in contact in March 2011, a significant amount of time passed before he was officially reported as a missing person.
