Cole Middleton, a 20-year-old from Gatesville, Texas, was last seen on August 13 or 14, 2015, at a Stripes convenience store in his hometown. Cole's disappearance initially did not raise immediate alarm due to his history of disappearing for days or weeks at a time. However, after he missed a call to his twin sister on their birthday in September, his family grew concerned and reported him missing.
