In the early spring of 2016, a 39-year-old man named Wesley Dale Ridge vanished from his life in Jasper, Tennessee, leaving behind a void of information and a family searching for answers. On March 7th of that year, Wesley, a resident of a home near Hales Bar Marina on U.S. Highway 41 and an employee at Valmont Industries, was seen for the last time. Details surrounding the exact moments of his disappearance remain clouded in uncertainty.
A female friend reported to the Marion County Sheriff's Department that she saw Wesley walk into his house and then leave in a car with another man. This man, identified as a coworker, later told investigators that he had given Wesley a ride to a local bar in Jasper. However, this claim could not be substantiated, as no one at the establishment recalled seeing Wesley that day, casting a shadow of doubt on the account. His cell phone was used that afternoon, but after that, all activity ceased, and he has not been heard from since.
At the time he went missing, Wesley was described as a white male, standing between 5'9' and 6'0' tall, and weighing around 200 pounds. He had blue eyes and, though he kept his head shaved, his natural hair color was blond. He had a goatee at the time of his disappearance. Distinctive features that would make him recognizable include several tattoos: the name 'EMMA' over his heart and an eagle on the top of his left shoulder. He also had surgical scars from a past hernia operation and a gallbladder removal. When he was last seen, he was believed to be wearing a striped Carhartt shirt and brown Carhartt pants. A concerning detail in the investigation was that while Wesley's wallet was missing, it was reported that its contents had been emptied out.
The investigation into Wesley's disappearance has been fraught with few leads and perplexing circumstances. A couple of months after he vanished, his uncle, a pawnshop owner, was robbed and murdered. While this tragic event brought more sorrow to the family, authorities have stated they do not believe the two cases are connected. Years have passed since Wesley Ridge was last seen, and his case remains unsolved. The initial narrative of him being dropped off at a bar has led to a dead end, leaving his family and investigators with more questions than answers. The lack of any communication or financial activity since that day in March 2016 points to a grim reality, yet without any concrete evidence, his fate remains unknown. The case is an ongoing source of pain for his loved ones, who are left to wonder what happened to Wesley after he got into a car with a coworker and seemingly vanished without a trace.Last Seen: Mar 7, 2016
