Camelia Perez-Hernandez, a 25-year-old realtor from Richardson, Texas, was last seen on July 11, 2016. She had been in a relationship with Luis Manuel Rodriguez, a 41-year-old man who was married but estranged from his wife. According to reports, Camelia was trying to end the relationship because she feared Rodriguez, who had been violent toward her. On the evening of her disappearance, security footage captured the two leaving her apartment complex together. Investigators believe they went to a nearby trail where Camelia frequently worked out. Items belonging to her, such as a yoga mat and pink shorts, were later found at the trail, but Camelia herself has not been seen since.

When authorities searched her apartment on July 15, they found that all of her belongings, including her clothing, were missing. Rodriguez also disappeared shortly after her, and the last known contact he made was a phone call to his employer from Mexico about a week after Camelia went missing. Seven weeks later, a warrant was issued for Rodriguez's arrest on suspicion of murder, although police have not publicly disclosed the evidence leading to this conclusion. Rodriguez remains a fugitive, and authorities believe he may still be in Mexico.

Camelia's family has expressed their deep concern, stating that it is out of character for her to suddenly disappear, especially as she was described as reliable and was in the process of closing a real estate deal at the time. The search for Camelia continues, with her family and law enforcement seeking any information that could bring closure to this tragic case.
