Pearson had been released from the hospital earlier that day and was last spotted walking away from his home on Dew Berry Avenue around 4:00 PM. His home was located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 441 and Hermit Smith Road. Known by his nickname "Sugarfoot," Pearson suffers from dementia and an irregular heartbeat, which raised significant concern for his well-being after his disappearance.
At the time he went missing, Pearson was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers. Despite having disappeared on previous occasions, he had never been gone for such a long time. Pearson is described as 6'1", weighing about 160 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He also wore eyeglasses and may have been using an alternate name, Albert, or a different birth year (1941). His family and authorities have continued to search for answers, but little information has surfaced regarding his disappearance.
