On April 29, 2024, 16-year-old Melvyn Telisca was reported missing from Greenacres, Florida. At the time of his disappearance, Melvyn was a student at John I. Leonard High School, where he was an active member of the varsity football team, playing as a wide receiver and free safety. He had joined the team in October 2023 and was recognized for his athletic contributions.
