At the time he vanished, Matthew had no permanent address and was known to frequent several counties in Tennessee, including Marion, Bledsoe, White, Van Buren, and Hamilton, as well as parts of Georgia. He is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes, standing at 5'9" and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He has several distinctive tattoos, including the name "Beverly" within a heart on his chest and a full sleeve on his right arm. The investigation into Matthew Henry's disappearance has been extensive, involving the Dunlap Police Department, the Sequatchie County Sheriff's Office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and the FBI. Despite numerous interviews, with some reports indicating over 200 people have been spoken to, concrete answers have remained elusive. The man in the pickup truck, who was the last person seen with Matthew, has been identified and interviewed multiple times but has not provided any useful information. Law enforcement officials have stated they believe Matthew met with foul play and are investigating his case as a homicide, even though his body has not been found.
