In the early morning hours of August 11, 2018, Janet Denise Hamner was seen at Mack's Travel Plaza, also known as Moe's Travel Plaza, on Highway 82 in Elrod, Alabama. Surveillance footage from the travel plaza captured her leaving the parking lot on foot and alone after she had placed some machine games inside the establishment.
