Susan Hallowell, a 24-year-old woman, was last seen on April 1, 1980, in Melbourne, Florida. Prior to her disappearance, she had moved in with her mother after a disturbing incident with her boyfriend in the Ocala National Forest, where they had been living at a campground. According to a report, her boyfriend had physically assaulted her, binding her wrists and ankles and attempting to smother her. Although law enforcement suggested that Susan press charges, she did not follow through.

On the day she went missing, Susan left her mother’s residence to pick up some belongings and has not been seen since. In 1983, authorities searched the area in Marion County where Susan had previously lived with her boyfriend, but no significant leads emerged. Despite the investigation, her whereabouts remain unknown, and she is classified as a missing and endangered person. Authorities continue to seek information that might help resolve her case.
