Maria Marrufo Nava, a 51-year-old woman from Socorro, Texas, went missing on August 21, 2012. According to reports, Maria was last seen walking away from her home carrying a plastic bag containing clothes. She was wearing a pink blouse and white capri pants at the time of her disappearance. Described as a Hispanic woman with brown hair, standing 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds, Maria's case has garnered attention, but little progress has been made in locating her.
