On a late summer evening in Dyersburg, Tennessee, 48-year-old Robert Anthony Roberson found himself in a difficult situation. It was August 29, 2014, and the 1995 red Dodge Dakota he was driving with a female companion slid into a ditch on Holly Springs Cemetery Road in the southern part of Dyer County.
