Keith Pigram, a 35-year-old captain of the tugboat "Ricky Robinson," went missing on December 9, 2017, after his vessel capsized and sank in the Mississippi River near Memphis, Tennessee. At the time of the accident, Keith was working on the boat with his 19-year-old stepson, Anquavious Jamison. The tugboat broadcasted a mayday at 11:41 a.m., just before it sank. Despite extensive search efforts by the U.S.
Coast Guard, local authorities, and other vessels, only Jamison's body was recovered nine days later when the tugboat was raised. Keith’s body was never found, and he is presumed to have drowned in the accident.
Keith had worked for Wepfer Marine for over a decade and left behind five children. The sinking of the "Ricky Robinson" remains a tragic and unresolved incident, with no clear cause determined for the capsizing.
