Decades later, her disappearance remains an enduring mystery, leaving her family and investigators with more questions than answers.

Background and Medical History

Born on September 24, 1958, Audrey was diagnosed with hebephrenic schizophrenia at the age of 15. This condition, characterized by disorganized behavior and thoughts, led to auditory hallucinations and occasional paranoia. Despite her challenges, Audrey managed her symptoms with prescribed medications, including Thorazine, and functioned at the cognitive level of a 14-year-old. Her treatment involved multiple hospitalizations between 1974 and 1977 at facilities such as Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, Gracie Square Hospital in Manhattan, and Hillside Medical Center in Queens.
