On January 1, 2025, Thomas Mitchell Porylo, a 39-year-old resident of Newington, Connecticut, was last seen boarding a bus at the Newington Fastrak station, heading toward Hartford. Described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with blue eyes, Porylo was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and black sneakers at the time of his disappearance. Notably, he did not possess a cell phone and did not drive, making his reliance on public transportation a key aspect of his daily routine. His mother reported that she had not heard from him since that day, raising immediate concerns about his well-being.

A Troubling Silence

The lack of communication from Porylo was uncharacteristic, according to his family. His absence was particularly alarming given his dependence on public transit and the absence of a personal vehicle or mobile phone, which limited his means of contact.
