On June 16, 2020, Bruce Wayne Jacobs, a 52-year-old man from Edmond, Oklahoma, was last seen leaving his trailer at a campsite near Arcadia Lake around 8:15 a.m. Described as a 6-foot-tall Caucasian male with sandy brown hair and blue eyes, Jacobs was wearing a turquoise shirt, jeans, a brown and white baseball cap emblazoned with "RDT Trucking," and brown leather cowboy boots. He bore a distinctive tattoo on his upper left arm featuring a purple and red cross, a black tribal design, and the name "BRUCE WAYNE" at the top. Known affectionately as "Batman" by his loved ones, Jacobs's departure that morning marked the beginning of a perplexing and troubling mystery.
Later that same morning, Jacobs's red Ford pickup truck was discovered abandoned on railroad tracks in Choctaw, Oklahoma, between Northeast 23rd and Northeast 36th streets. The vehicle had been driven approximately a quarter-mile along the tracks before becoming stuck while attempting to turn around. This unusual circumstance prompted immediate concern and initiated a search effort involving multiple agencies, including the Oklahoma City Metro Search and Rescue team.
Upon learning of her brother's disappearance, Rachel DiFatta, Jacobs's sister, traveled from Mississippi to Oklahoma to aid in the search. Expressing deep concern, she noted that Jacobs typically maintained regular contact with her, making his sudden silence particularly alarming. DiFatta described her brother as a beacon of light in their family, emphasizing the urgency and emotional weight of the situation.
In the weeks following Jacobs's disappearance, extensive search efforts were organized by community members and search and rescue teams. Areas surrounding the location where his truck was found were meticulously examined, with searchers combing through woods and properties near the railroad tracks. Residents were urged to inspect their land for any signs of Jacobs, reflecting the community's commitment to finding answers. ...Read More
