On October 26, 1997, 14-year-old Lydia Ann Perkins vanished from her neighborhood in Lexington, Kentucky. That day began like many others: Lydia and her younger brother, Justin, spent time with their grandmother before returning to the Cardinal Valley neighborhood to visit friends. Later, Lydia was at her boyfriend's home with Justin. After Justin left, Lydia followed shortly thereafter. She apparently made it to her family's home on Rugby Road, as she called her cousin from there. However, she was never seen or heard from again. Her family reported her missing several hours later.
Lydia's disappearance left her family in a state of perpetual anguish. Her mother, Sherry Thompson, recalls the disbelief and pain that have persisted over the years. "You know, I never thought that 25 years would go by without my daughter," she said in a 2022 interview. "It's been a nightmare you're actually living every day." Justin, who was 12 at the time, has expressed the deep void left by his sister's absence, stating, "My best friend. You always look for somebody to go to... and it's something that you always feel you missed out on."
Initially, authorities classified Lydia as a runaway due to her history of leaving home without permission. However, her family contested this, emphasizing that she rarely left her neighborhood and was never gone for long. This initial misclassification may have delayed critical early investigative efforts. Two years later, her case was reclassified as an endangered missing person, but by then, valuable time had been lost.
At the time of her disappearance, Lydia was 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighed approximately 90 pounds. She had red hair, which she may have dyed bright red, brown, or black, and hazel eyes. Distinctive features included a brown circular birthmark on the right side of her neck, scars on her right eyebrow and in the center of her forehead, and pierced ears. She may have used the last name Moberly. ...Read More

on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
