On July 27, 2024, the Mall in Columbia, Maryland, became the scene of a devastating incident when 17-year-old Angelo Little was fatally shot in the food court. The assailant, identified as William Thomas Marshall III, also 17 at the time, allegedly targeted Little in what authorities believe was a premeditated act. Surveillance footage captured the suspect fleeing the scene, prompting an extensive manhunt.


The Suspect: William Thomas Marshall III

William Marshall III, known by the nickname "Junior," was a student at Oakland Mills High School in Columbia. Following the incident, he failed to attend school, leading investigators to suspect he had fled the area. Marshall is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities have deemed him a potential threat to public safety due to the nature of the crime.


Law Enforcement's Response and Public Appeal

In the wake of the shooting, the Howard County Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, launched a comprehensive search for Marshall. Surveillance videos were released to the public in hopes of garnering leads. Despite extensive efforts, including reviewing digital evidence and conducting surveillance, Marshall remains at large. A combined reward of up to $30,000 has been offered for information leading to his arrest.


The Victim: Remembering Angelo Little

Angelo Little was an upcoming senior at the Homewood Center in Ellicott City. Described by his mother, Sherell Wilson, as a good student with aspirations, his untimely death has left a void in the community.
