A Promising Young Man Goes Missing

On December 7, 2024, 21-year-old Devin Standifer was last seen leaving his aunt's residence near Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska. Described as a 6-foot-tall Alaska Native male with dark brown eyes and hair, weighing approximately 180 pounds, Devin's sudden disappearance has left his family and the community deeply concerned. His grandmother, Sandy Koyukuk, emphasized his active involvement in sports, noting, "He’s a top five varsity basketball player, number 22. He’s well-loved."

Community Rallies Amidst Concerns

In response to Devin's disappearance, dozens of community members gathered on December 22, 2024, marching through downtown Fairbanks to raise awareness and support the search efforts. Organized by the Fairbanks Native Movement Center, participants carried handmade signs, sang, and beat drums, braving the cold to show solidarity.
