Quinton Buckner, aged 17, was fatally shot on November 6, 2008, in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. The shooting of Quinton, along with that of another teenager named Brian Murdock, was one of multiple homicides that pushed the city's murder rate for that year beyond the previous year's figures.
