On December 9, 2009, Anthony Watts, a 26-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred during a gathering to celebrate an eighth-grade graduation. While Anthony Watts and others were present, two individuals approached the residence and opened fire. The attack resulted in the death of 18-year-old Zachary O’Connor and injuries to Paul Rayon, who sustained gunshot wounds to the face and shoulder, leading to the loss of vision in his right eye.
