Yusuf S. Yusuf, a 30-year-old Hispanic/Latino man from Chicago, was killed in the early minutes of June 27, 2010, on a quiet stretch of South Sacramento Avenue in the city's Gage Park neighborhood. What should have been an ordinary summer night on the Southwest Side turned abruptly violent just after midnight, when the stillness of the street gave way to the sound of gunfire and the flash of a passing vehicle.
