Death by Force

Carl Roberson, a 23-year-old man, was shot and killed on July 4, 2010, in Chicago's Austin neighborhood. The incident took place at approximately 7:57 a.m. on the 5400 block of West Chicago Avenue. Roberson was standing on the sidewalk when a man exited a white vehicle and opened fire, shooting him in the abdomen. He was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:32 a.m. Despite the immediate response, he succumbed to his injuries later that morning.
