Luis Cordova, a 19-year-old from Chicago, was killed on April 15, 2011, in what appeared to be a gang-related shooting. He was shot multiple times in the vicinity of his neighborhood, succumbing to his injuries on the scene. Reports indicated that the shooting occurred late in the evening, a time often associated with increased gang activity in certain areas of the city.
