Darrin Rodgers, aged 27, was shot and killed on May 1, 2013, in Chicago. The shooting occurred in the South Side of the city, specifically near 69th Street and Cornell Avenue. The incident happened late at night, and Rodgers was struck in the chest, which led to his death shortly after emergency responders arrived. He was one of three people killed that evening in Chicago, which saw a surge in violence, with numerous other people wounded during a series of shootings across the city.
