Gregory Shanks, aged 47, was fatally stabbed on March 19, 2014, in Chicago. The incident took place in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, in an apartment building located in the 700 block of North Trumbull Avenue. Shanks was involved in an argument with another individual, which escalated, ultimately resulting in him being stabbed in the chest just before 3 p.m. Responding to the scene, emergency services transported Shanks to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
