Dakari Pargo, a 19-year-old male, was fatally shot on July 2, 2014, in Chicago. His death occurred in the midst of a violent summer in the city, where gun-related homicides were a significant issue. Pargo was shot multiple times in a neighborhood that had been dealing with persistent gang violence and criminal activity. He was taken to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
