On June 30, 1979, 32-year-old Kenneth Bernard Grier was fatally shot during the early morning hours at the King Cole Bar, located at 1082 Broadway in Denver, Colorado. A disturbance erupted among multiple patrons, escalating into gunfire that struck Grier. He was immediately transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
