On the night of September 5, 1980, a violent altercation outside a Denver bar led to the tragic death of 33-year-old Eugene 'Gene' Magnan. An American Indian and a member of the Assiniboine Sioux Tribe, Magnan was an electrician by trade. That evening, he was a patron at the White Horse Bar.
