In the summer of 1981, a promising young man named Randy Walton, a 24-year-old Black male, found his life tragically cut short in Denver, Colorado. Having recently been assigned to Lowry Air Force Base, he was just beginning a new chapter in his service to the country. On the night of June 14th, Walton and a friend attended an after-hours party at a community center on Fairfax Street. Later, as they sat in a parked car, the night took a dark and violent turn.
