On August 14, 1993, 23-year-old Jesús Hernández-Silva was fatally shot following an altercation with unknown individuals in a vehicle near the intersection of 34th Avenue and Franklin Street in Denver, Colorado. After the confrontation, Hernández-Silva was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
