In the summer of 2019, the life of 35-year-old Daniel Malamaola Salazar was tragically cut short in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On June 30, Salazar, a father of six with another child on the way, was killed in an act of gun violence that stemmed from a seemingly mundane neighborhood dispute. The conflict began over a barking dog, a common source of friction between neighbors, but in this instance, it escalated to a fatal confrontation.
