In the spring of 2022, a 52-year-old male named Daniel Alan Venhuizen became the victim of a fatal shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On the evening of May 7th, police were called to 8601 Central Ave. NE following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Venhuizen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts of emergency and medical personnel, Daniel Venhuizen succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. An obsessive Dallas Cowboys fan, he had been married to his wife, April, for 30 years and enjoyed playing guitar with his son, Jeremy. He was also a father to his daughter, Sierra. At the time of the incident, law enforcement had not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
The investigation into his death remains an open case.
