In the early moments of June 4, 2014, the life of 23-year-old Darrell Jenkins, a Black male from Springfield, Massachusetts, was tragically cut short. Just after midnight, at approximately 12:38 a.m., the city's audio surveillance system, ShotSpotter, detected the sound of six gunshots ringing out on Kensington Avenue in the Forest Park neighborhood.
