Devolente Simmons, aged 31, was tragically shot and killed on December 20, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident took place in the Austin neighborhood, which has been one of the areas most affected by gun violence in the city. Simmons was found with multiple gunshot wounds, and although he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
