In the early morning hours of July 24, 2016, the life of Dennis "Freebird" Strable, a 59-year-old White / Caucasian male from Des Moines, Iowa, was tragically cut short. A well-known tattoo artist and a described free spirit, Strable was riding his bicycle, his primary mode of transportation, in the Kingman neighborhood when he was fatally shot. His body was discovered near Roosevelt High School at approximately 4:30 a.m.
