In the summer of 2019, the life of a young Hispanic boy, five-year-old Ever Jose Mejia-Flores, was tragically cut short in Des Moines, Iowa. On the night of July 16, a distressing call to police led them to a home on Day Street, where a horrific scene awaited. Inside the residence, officers discovered the bodies of Ever, his 11-year-old sister Grecia Daniela Alvarado-Flores, and their 29-year-old mother, Rossibeth Flores-Rodriguez.
